Effective leadership is more crucial than ever in today's rapidly changing global healthcare environment. As healthcare challenges continue to evolve, the competencies expected of healthcare leaders must adapt accordingly.
Dr. Mathis is conducting scholarly research, examining peer-reviewed journals and grey literature, including global healthcare leadership academic programmes. The research aims to produce a scoping review exploring the integration of evidence-based practice competencies within postgraduate global healthcare leadership programmes.
With increasing demands on global healthcare leaders, it is essential for academic programmes to equip professionals with the necessary tools to make evidence-based decisions in complex situations. Through this scoping review, Dr. Mathis aims to uncover how current research and academic training align with the specific competencies required for effective global healthcare leadership.
The investigation will provide insights into the skills and knowledge imparted to healthcare leaders, helping to shape and improve leadership development strategies in global healthcare. If you are in an education, political, or healthcare role and are interested in being interviewed for the study, please get in touch with Dr. Mathis.
Our initiative investigates the critical shortage of nurses on a global scale, specifically focusing on their leadership role in addressing this crisis. Through a comprehensive academic study of peer-reviewed journal articles and engaging in qualitative studies, we centre our investigation on the National Health Service (NHS UK) as a case study.
By rigorously studying nurse leadership dynamics within the NHS UK context, we seek to gain insights into the challenges and opportunities inherent in effectively addressing the nurse shortage. Through an interdisciplinary approach, merging scholarly research with real-world observations, our goal is to provide valuable insights and recommendations for enhancing nurse leadership and effectively addressing the nurse shortage crisis in the UK and globally.
This initiative is a vital component of a broader global project examining the pivotal role of healthcare leadership in navigating the nurse shortage crisis. If you are in an education, political, or healthcare role and are interested in being interviewed for the study, please get in touch with Dr. Kalra.
This research examines the critical role of global healthcare leadership within Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) strategies to effectively achieve lasting peace in military peacekeeping missions. Analysing strategy papers and studies on megatrends underscore the prediction of large-scale desertion of areas and population movements towards megacities, which catalyse instability and conflict over resources.
The review highlights the correlation between instability and the recruitment of soldiers for civil wars by power-seeking stakeholders, suggesting a predictive aspect akin to Doomsday Hollywood movies. The inquiry emphasises CIMIC’s role in amplifying strategies to establish stability and peace in international military peacekeeping missions, recognising this as their primary objective.
Central to this is the provision of essential healthcare and opportunities for family livelihood, which serve as stabilising factors and deter the recruitment of soldiers for immoral causes, thereby fostering a collective will for peaceful coexistence and lasting peace.
If you are in an education, political, military, or healthcare role, and you are interested in participating in the study, please contact the principal investigator, Lukas-Kajetan Gruber.
